Yeah , we won .
Congratulations to both the Senior and Junior teams of 2017 as they both won the championships !! Good going !
I have been doing this post for many years and usually start my research in late August for a post . This year is very strange !
So far as of this date ( Sept 10,2018 ) I know very little about who we are playing this fall .
As far as I can determine, the league , run under the auspices of ROPSSAA , is in complete disarray ! Lorne Park is now in Tier 1 along with St. Marcellinus and St. Roch only . Tier 2 has 17 teams and Tier 3 has 2. This cannot work !
The only games I have discovered so far that LPSS is playing is :
Friday September 28 LPSS @ St. Roch ( 12 noon ) Seniors only
Thursday October 4 St. Marcellinus @ LPSS ( 1pm ) Seniors only *
Friday October 19 St. Roch @ LPSS ( 2pm ) Seniors only
Friday October 26 LPSS @ St. Marcellinus ( 12 noon ) Seniors Only *
I have no information on the LPSS Juniors schedule .
This information comes from the St. Roch website . How accurate it is, who knows ? Also, St. Marcellinus website .
There is a ROPSSAA Executive meeting today ( Sept 10,2018 ) so maybe they will address the schedule and the league tiers organization.
It's a mess.I don't know how it got this way .
There was a proposal on the internet by someone who said there should be four geographical divisions with 6 teams each. We would be in a division with Clarkson and Port Credit ! I think this would work .
Lorne Park Spartans Seniors did play an exibition contest September 7,2018
in Chardon , Ohio against the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin . We lost 42 - 0.
At least there is a season , I think ????
I will keep you posted if and when there is any info .
Red and Gray ?? I certainly hope so !!!! We'll see ?
Note : * indicates newly discovered added date
Still no complete schedule available as of 9/17 /18
No info on Junior games as yet . |
