Wood Teacher? He is a great Guy..
If it's the same one I'm thinking of..

English guy if I recall.
Part of my youth also. Hope he's ok.

Yep, wood shop teacher. He's Irish.

I remember job shadowing him one day in my OAC year, 'being' the wood shop teacher for the day. Good times. He was head of the tech department when I was at LP, and I was quite involved in tech ('president' of the electronics club for a few years... Smile

).

In response to who the wood working teacher was, well it was Tom Dugelby.

He has passed away in 1998. What a shame since I learned so much from him and he truly was a mentor to me. I loved the machine shop classes and would work hours after school on my personal projects in the machine shop, welding, melting metal, and machining. I guess that's why I became a automotive engineer.
I also remember him working on modifiying the automatic weapons so they would work with blanks. He was a member of the armed forces and also a structural engineer who worked on the Avro Arrow.

Mr. Dugelby was working in the drafting department when I started at LP, and I believe left due to health reasons before I graduated. Tony was the head of the tech department when I left, and remained there for at least a few years afterwards. When I moved to Brazil I lost touch with him.
